Dr. Serafin earned her Medical Degree from Ponce School of Medicine, Puerto Rico. She completed her residency in Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, where she also served as Chief Resident during her final year. Dr. Serafin worked for one year as Clinical Associate in the Emergency Room/Urgent Care at the Cleveland Clinic before joining Windermere Pediatrics in 2005. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She, her husband Dr. Carlos Alemany, and their four children live in Ocoee. Her interests include cooking, traveling, Latin American women’s novels, and interior decorating. Her special medical interests include asthma, allergic diseases, and adolescent medicine. Dr. Ali is a board-certified pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University, majoring in physiology. After graduating from medical school, Dr. Ali completed her pediatric residency at the University of Florida Shands Children’s Hospital, where she participated in their primary care residency track. Before joining Windermere Pediatrics, Dr. Ali practiced pediatrics in private practice in Central Florida. She enjoys traveling, is a self-proclaimed foodie, and lives in Orlando with her family.
Luz M. Karas, M.D. is a board-certified pediatrician trained at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital, State University of New York at Stony Brook. Dr. Karas is originally from Colombia and earned her medical degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica of Ecuador. After seven years of medical training, she moved to the United States to continue her education in pediatrics. Dr. Karas relocated to Long Island, New York, where she completed her pediatric training and received multiple awards for excellence in teaching and leadership. After graduation, she accepted a position at Hudson River Health Care in Long Island. Dr. Karas and her family later relocated to Orlando, where she joined Windermere Pediatrics. Her professional interests include autoimmune conditions, infectious diseases, and allergy/immunology. She enjoys building relationships with families and helping children thrive through compassionate team-based care.
Dr. Guyton earned her Medical Degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine in 1984. She completed her Pediatric Residency at Orlando Regional Medical Center, including two years as Chief Resident before joining Windermere Pediatrics in 1989. She became a partner in the business in 1990 and is Board Certified in Pediatrics. Dr. Guyton is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Orange County Medical Society, and the Central Florida Pediatric Society. She and her husband, Dan, reside in Winter Park with their son, Sam. Her interests include art and roller skating. Other languages spoken: Spanish.
Ana Souto earned her Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization in Pediatrics from New York University. She is nationally certified through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board and has been with us since October 2016. Ana lives in Windermere with her husband and two daughters. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and volunteering at school and church.
Katie Wilczak is a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner and a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. She earned her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of Florida. Before joining Windermere Pediatrics, she worked for five years in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. Katie is an Orlando native and lives downtown with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys running, weightlifting, reading, spending time with her family, and visiting Disney.
